knocking noise at idle

knocking noise at idle
I have a 2006 Heritage softail. It has developed a knocking noise at idle. It doesn't seem to do it all the time. It only has 15000 miles. Any ideas?

What he said... my 07 Electra glide was doing it sometimes and now is gone after the new sprocket.

could be piston slap also

I finally got around to pulling the primary cover off and sure enough the compensator nut is loose. I read that this is a problem with this year and am headed to Harley tomorrow to get parts to fix it. Thanks for the advice.
