can anyone tell me what the difference is between SE stage 1 air kit 29773-02C and 29440-99D? Looking to change out my odd shaped air cleaner kit for a round one. Or is there a better (reasonably priced )set up other than those sold by HD??

 

I'm not sureon those paqrt numbers, but I had the SE air cleaneer kit on my '04 heritage with the teardrop shaped cover. I removed that cover and put on a round one for a more classic look. Take off your cover and look at the filter, that will determine what will fit.

 

thanks shiney bike, but i already know i have the tear drop filter, but it is my understanding i can swap out the backing plate for a round one. the 2 kits and model numbers i posted both appear to be the same--was wondering if there were subtle differences ...not even sure HD sells the 29440-99d anymore...but it can be found on ebay...any help would be appreciated. thanks

 

for what I read the one with the C is for a CA bike. They have the exact same thing in them though just one has a 50 state legal sticker in it.
