Default 1st issue with my new Harley - SOLVED

:::SOLVED:::

It is apparent that Vance and Hines had a division (not V&H) make the Pro-Pipe High Output. I was asked to call the race division of V&H. The race division said that I had to go through the reseller to get any kind of warranty or refund on the defective pipe. That neither V&H nor V&H race division would warranty the pipe. This should be a warning to consider buying elsewhere when buying exhaust for your Harley IMO. If the pipe has there name on it, and they will not warranty it. What do you do?

Vance and Hines Pro Pipe on a 2010 Street Bob. I have a leak with discoloration where the headers meet the muffler.

What could cause this issue? Vibrations? The dealership put the pipes on at purchase.

Thanks.

Could be a manufacturing flaw at a weld or a loose clamp, hard to tell as I can't see it!

It is right at the clamps, but the clamps are tight. You can see where the muffler has come back some off the header.
It is starting to leak at the bottom as well.

Might have to put the stock exhaust back on until I can get these fixed by warranty, or replaced.

I have a time to take it to the dealer. Maybe they will use that very product to resolve this issue.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Seems that Vance and Hines has owned up to the problem. They have seen it before with this model. It is the model with the 3 different sizes on the muffler. I guess the Competition Pro-Pipe? I don't know what else to call it.
The fix was a band-aid from Vance and Hines. Use copper hi-temp silicone. The dealer was happy with this fix, and offered me a pipe of choice in good faith. Imagine that. A dealer helping a customer.
I choose a black 2 in 1 thunderhead. I like the pipe. Sounds good on a TC, and should give me some good torque. I have the stock pipes on for now. I'll have to get lunch for the service guys at the Harley shop.
