Need info, advice
I`m new to these new twin cam motors and fuel injection, last Harley i had was a 73 shovel head that i rode for 18 years. I just bought a 01 Road Glide with 32,000 miles on it and have a couple questions. Iy has the two into one exhaust with screaming eagle mufflers on it, the area just before the muffler on the right side where there isn`t a heat shield for couple inches is blue.
Is it normal for these to turn blue all the way to the muffler?
Also i get a slight popping in the exhaust when shifting once in a while, the bike idles smooth and has good acceleration so is there a need to be concerned.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Not uncommon. Do you know if the ECM has been flashed? If it is not popping thriough the air cleaner, and you see no other effects, you probably have nothing to worry about. Sometimes these bikes pop when shifting or on decel because they suck cold air from the left pipe (which does very little) and it bangs in the right muffler. If the engine cuts off at 5500 rpm, it hasn't been flashed. The 1450 stage 1 flash for these bikes was for the SE air cleaner and no mufflers, but that is better than nothing if it hasn't been flashed. If it has a stage flash, it will spin to 6200 rpm.
