3 1/4 turns indicates that you need a larger slow jet. Whatever you have in there now needs to go one size bigger. At 3 1/4 turns out you will lose that new adjustment screw. That type will back out and end up on the road and your bike will be running real bad. Don't ask how I know this. And I have seen it happen to others too. If you want to run it like that at least put a big rubber vacuum cap over the screw and the body of the carb where the screw is. That should keep it from backing out.
