Which SE heads, the older SE Performance heads or the "new" ones. You are looking at $600 by the time you get your stock heads worked over.

At the risk of repeating; there are plenty of guys getting 100/100, or very near numbers with decent curves with the stock '06 and later heads; they flow much better than the earlier versions. If you evaluate the potential gain in TQ on a TQ/$$ basis, the best value would be more compression, cams and a very good tune. You could improve the performance of the 203 with the head gasket more compression and tune but would likely have a detonation problem. I have run the 204 at 9.8 static in my 95" Deuce 104TQ/94HP. She ran great in the winter but in the south Texas summers, she would ping with a load of poor quality fuel; hated to give up the performance but had to change cams.

JMHO; just trying to save you some bucks.

 

For Headquater Heads it's 1233.67 give or take a few cents. This is for labor/rework of heads and all parts to include front and back manual compression releases. Turn around is running 4 weeks from the time they get your stock heads.

 

like djl said in post 6, bang for your $$ = 26's, or 21's for more tq earlier great for 2up riding, with stock 06 heads, 2n1 and a tune is a proven reliable build that will get you 95-100 tq.

 

The average cost for head work is about 1000 bones.

for any one with a good reputation...
a lot of guys will not include the entire package when the price low for porting. look you get what ya pay for. power costs but i have to agree , get a set of 06 heads and put a cam in there and get it tuned professionally. i know guys who think their bike was tuned good until i took them down to JD,s cycleworks in PA and i let him dial it in. they have a diffrent perspective on hopw a harley should be tuned and run now like nite and day.

 

als you need is a diffrent cam and some better heads and a tune you will be at those numbers with out doing all the extra work

roller rockers
T-Man 625 cam.
good tune and you would be golden.
you would be up around 110/110 with no problem

 

I have had several sets fully ported by three different porters and have never paid more than $700; your paying too much.

 

my Baisley heads were more then a grand.
i would sure like to know who you get yourproduct from so i can purchase a set for Dave shop and get a dyno tune to see what heads they compare too.
