cv carb question

Default cv carb question

heres a dumb question that needs an answer please. my bike is in the shop and im happy with my cv carb. they say its a 37 cv. im thinking its a 40. its an 04 electra glide. i want to keep my cv as im sure it can support my 95ci build. thanks for a simple answer..

Larry,

The Kehein CV carb is a 40mm carb, which when properly tuned is a great carb.

At 40mm, it is large enough to support a 95" motor, but at it's limit...
Anything larger than about 100", because of the 40mm throat, it just can't move enough air to support the motor.
