Default Black-Out Rocker Boxes

I'm thinking about blacking out my rocker boxes on my 08 Fat Bob. I am pretty mechanically inclined and have a good understanding of motors. I'm a little nervous to take the engine apart. I would like to take them completely off. Is this something I'm going to be able to do and is there anything technical I need to be thinking about? Also, are people having these powder coated or what type of finish is working? Any advice on this project would help me out a lot. I guess I really wanna know if this is fairly simple or not worth the trouble. Spanks!!!!

If you're mechanically inclined then all you need is a service manual. Take them off and send to The Powder Pro. He is a sponsor here.

Default Question

Can the powder coating process warp the rocker boxes and then make it hard to get a good seal when putting them back on?
