Default Bassani headers question?

Looking at just purchasing Bassini True Dual Crossover header pipes part # SFT212). I do not want to use Bassani mufflers. But they mention to be only used with Bassani mufflers!

My question is why? If I call bassani, I'm sure they won;t give me a straight answer. Are Bassani mufflers tuned specically for these headers?

quite possibly due to the outlet dia. being larger with the Bass. Not sure if it is but that might be why.

Possibly due to the fact that they want to you buy their complete system, and not JUST the head pipes.

performance gaurentee??? Maybe???
I used to own the TD's with megaphones...nice pipes. good performance..great sound..look up American Classic motors on the web...they have the best prices in the united states on these head pipes...shipping is usually free too.

Bassani True-Duals with that "power-chamber" (wart) are very lack luster to say the best.
Better used as a sink drain pipe, from what we have seen.

On a 98" build recently, S/E heads, modified, 45 Mik, with a Wood 9B, we saw 35 ft/lbs of torque increase on the strike, 14 more hp peak, and 9 more ft/lbs peak with a D&D Fatcat, over that other "thing".
