Default 103 Stage II Builds - Feedback

I have read numerous comments and feedback on the SE 103" Stage II engine build, with the 255 Cam, and am looking for comments +/- on your results (especially those that have went with this exact set up). I am looking to get this done in two weeks with excitement to my 2009 Road King Classic. Already have a SE race tuner, Rinehart slip-on's and a Wimmer Better Sucker high flow airfilter.

Appreciate any feedback - also, posting under touring.

I had it.....HAD. It made 82/102 with SE255 cams, no headwork, V&H Big Radius, SE Heavy Breather. Tuned with PCIII.

Appreciate the feedback: Had as in??? Roger, will be anxious to hear how the build went. Are you installing Compression Releases?

The 255's run out of steam, VERY early.
Better choices out there, via Bob Wood or Andrews.

Had, as in....not any more. Wanted more power. So I swapped cams and heads.....then I wanted more (again), so I built a 113".

I had that set up, but with the se 110" heads and made 93hp/110tq. The 255's came on around 2200 and dropped off at 4200 rpms.

Phil: I did not install a compression release, I went with the stock head gaskets to keep pressures down as I had detonation issues with the bike when it was stock. I rode the bike today to seat the rings did repeated pulls from 30 to 60 in third and fourth to load the engine. Only rode 25 miles however I can really feel the difference, pulls much harder through the gears in fact the first time I opened the throttle in first I noticed my cold weather gloves almost slipped off the hand grips. The bike seems to have made the transition from a stock small bore V to a big block with a street cam. It now pulls the way I expected it to when it was new and has a deep throated roar when you open it up. The next thing I need to do is get it out on the interstate and see how it pulls the hills in 6th gear, all indications are that I will be very pleased with the upgrade. I am headed to Arizona, California and Nevada after Christmas, If there are any tuning issues I will order PCs auto tune to compliment my PCV.

My Super Glide is in the shop now getting the 103 kit installed along with new exhaust and chrome engine kit. It should be done by Saturday hopefully. Definitly by Xmas. Can't wait to see how it runs compared to stock.
