producer, I'm also considering the hq-ooo39 for my 95". What comp are you running those cams at. I have a 04 flhrs, Builder suggests 10-1 comp for my build.
Take a good look at Head Quarters. Particularily the HQ-575. You can get it in chain or gear drive. You will not have issues with hard starting and they will pull progressively harder and harder all the way up to redline. I have the HQ-0039. It's almost identical to the 575. It's the best decision I ever made for performance and gas mileage.
The HQ 575 is a great cam in a slightly modified engine, it really needs a bit of a compression bump to work as designed. It will work in a basically stock engine but will be a bit sluggish in the lower rpms ranges. I run it in my 120". If the engine is staying basically stock no compression increase, then it is the HQ 500 or 525 as I suggested earlier.

04 RKCRR,
10:1 is a good, safe compression ratio for that cam in regards to detenation issues and engine heat.
I'm running 10.4:1 with CP Forged flat tops. The higher ratio with my 800+ Lb bike is a bit tricker to tune. I did it for high way performance. I still have very good low end torque too.
I'll have to try a wheelie next spring.
My bike runs like a sports car on the highway and I get very good mileage on top of it.
You will love that HQ-0039 cam. Get head work done too. It's worth the extra cash. you will gain it back in gas mileage besides performance.

Reason: miss spelling
I'm getting head work done. I just don't want any valve train noise or pinging. I thought the 0039 was just a bolt in cam.
You won't have issues. The 39's are not bolt in. you will need adjustable pushrods. I recommend the SE tapered solid body adjustables or an equivellent. That's just me.
