I have a 2009 Ultra Classic, 103 with 251 cams, and have heard good things of PC V, but HD techs say there can be problems with ECM later on. Any thoughts?

Thats because they want to sell you a SE race tuner.
pc 5 is good
the dealer wants to sell you a superr tuner not a race tuner...
dealers do not sell race tuners any more.
the TTS is a far superior then the power commander .
the super tuner replaced the race tuner when harley did away with the company they contracted from to make the race tuners.
NOW
the company that used to make the Screamin Eagle Race Tuner (SERT) now makes the TTS Master tune. http://www.mastertune.net/
It doesn't hurt your warranty at all.... I've been running mine for 50,000 miles. Dealer even re-flashed my bike with the power commander in place. no issues.
If I'm not mistaken, Jamie at fuelmoto says if you buy his PCV "Fuel Moto doubles the warranty on the Power Commander making the warranty period 2 years. Furthermore, if you purchase a Power Commander from Fuel Moto we offer Map support and will supply you with any different maps you may need as you make future mods to your bike. We also provide in-house certified Dynojet technical support". That quote was taken directly from his website.
HD installed a PCIII on my 07 and it ran great. Sold it this past summer and got a 09 and want to install the PCV. Went to HD and they only want to install the SEST. Definately looking after their own pockets. I will order one from Fuel Moto and install myself.
