RE: Which slip ons sound best?
Ive ran Bassani true duals with Thunderheader slip ons for a long time--Very DEEP But VERY LOUD! (LOVED THEM!) Recently installed a set of Vance & HINES Oval slip ons on the Bassani power curve duals & has lost that deep sound I had with the thunderheaders @ idle but overall sound is good on acel, and calm so to speek @ cruise or idle. Good luck with your pipe choices.

RE: Which slip ons sound best?
I'm new in this forum, so, HI!
The best place to sample the sounds, of course, is at a bike shop or rally. Look for a bike that sounds good to you, then ask the rider (or look) what he's got. But for a sound sample of Vance & Hines pipes, you can go to the Vance & Hines website, look at the pipes & they provide a sound sample too. I wish they had more technical info too though. But from the sound samples, I was considering the Ovals or the classics. But from this thread, I think I'll look at the Khrome Werks. And I as many of you guys reaffirm, I've heard great stuff about the Cycle Shack pipes. But I'm amazed at how many folks spend hundreds on pipes, then find they don't like them & have to change. That gets costly!
Good luck with the hunt. I'm looking too.
