S&S 106 Hot Setup underway
I have been researching this for quite some time. I have a 2000 Road King Classic with 50,000 miles on the clock, and it was time for some freshening up! I looked at several options from just doing the 95 kit to doing a 124. After talking to some of my local riders that have the 106 stroker kit, I was sold. It seems like the best balance for what I was looking for: Big torque and reliability. I am doing the S&S 106 "Hot Setup"stroker kit, S&S Super Stocker heads, 585 Gear driven Cams, electric compression releases, new Fueling oil pump and Cam support plate, and new heavy duty clutch. I am having the S&S heads cleaned up before install to bump the compression to 10.1:1 from the kit standard 9.8:1. As for the final number in the equation, I knew I had to something about my Magneti Marelli Fuel Injection or the entire build would be a waste. I looked at several options here as well, but decided to go all out. I am doing the Marelli to Zippers Performance 50mm fuel injection conversion with the auto tune.
The build is currently underway, and should be finished by Halloween weekend. I will be sure to update, as soon as I do the break in!

The same kit as I currently had/have on my bike, minus the fuel injection. My heads are just "casting cleaned-up", no major port or bowl work. I had the 585's in for a few hundred miles and then swapped them out for a set of Woods 9B's. I believe my before and after dyno sheets are here on the site somewhere...
Good Luck!!

I'm hoping the big brown truck shows up today so I can finish putting the rear wheel back on the bike and ride!!! I'm anxious to she how the bike reacts to the new 3.34 ratio versus the 3.15 ratio!!
