Stock Exhaust Burn-In

Stock Exhaust Burn-In
Have brand new 06 Wide glide, just under 500 miles...
Dealership said ride it around town gentle like for first 500 miles, then
"ride it like you stole it" for the second 500 and then bring it to them to check it for problems (For $350 they check it)
I just got back from a 150 mile ride, and the exhaust has changed dramatically. Its louder (by a damsite)
Primary Question is "Is this Normal"?
I dont mind, it sounds more like a soulfull sound now, but if the stock HD exhaust some how burns in and gets a bit louder, will it need tuning before it runs real strong again?
I still have that second 500 miles to ride before the service check, is it gonna run different and need a tune?
Thanks for the help in advance.

RE: Stock Exhaust Burn-In
Hey LoneIndey,
I just had my 1,000 mile service done. The bike is still bone stock as the day it rolled off the showroom floor. While my exhaust may have "mellowed" a bit, and sound a little deeper, it's still the stock exhaust. Without changing the air cleaner to a more open element I don't think you'll have a problem. I've ran mine this long and the sound is driving me nuts. Gotta open it up with pipes and an a/c and PCIII. Hope this answers your question.
