Default CV44 Carb

I'm looking to switch my 1999 Ultra over to a carb from the Magneti-Marelli EFI. I'll need a carb that can work with cruise control. My bike has the typical mods, 95 inches, re-worked heads (ported, larger valves, etc.), Wiseco pistons, TW37G cams, Kerker PAT pipes, and a SE air filter. I'm not sure if I should go with a stock carb or something better.

The specs for the Screamin' Eagle big bore CV44 carb part#27007-00 say it will fit 2001 and later Twin Cam engines. The specs for most, if not all, the other Screamin' Eagle carbs say they will fit 1999 and later (all) Twin Cam engines. Does anyone know why the 27007-00 carb wouldn't fit a 1999 engine?
