Head Bolts Leaking...05 883 Sportster
I put this in the Sportster section but I'm going to post it here to as it may get more attention from techs. This is on a 05 883 Sportster.
I've got around 650 miles on my bike now and I noticed that the head bolts are apparently leaking some oil or possibly exhaust residue out the tops of them. Its not alot but its there. I'm wondering if this is common? Is this something that should be addressed immediatly or should I just wait until the 1000 mile check up. Probably just needs re-torquing but to me it seems if I'm getting blow by through the head gaskets then riding it is going to gradually make it worse. Any thoughts on this?

RE: Head Bolts Leaking...05 883 Sportster
Talked to the service dude today, AKA owner of the dealership. He said to ride it 200 more miles and bring it in and drop it off. Then they will do the 1000 mile check up at 800, fix the leaks, which he said is either head gaskets or rocker gaskets, and fix the popping from my carb.
