I think my bikes previous owner screwed the fuel screw down too much. What kind of problems will it cause and can i replace anything to fix it? Thanks.

you should be able to just replace the screw.
that should have been the only part that was trashed.
if it is messed up on the inside then i think your looking at a new carb.

You can crack the carb throat or damage the screw seat which can give you problems adjusting the mix. Lightly seated is the way to go. The screw is difficult to get from HD (not a listed part), go to a Kawasaki dealer, some of their dirt bikes have a CV40 with the same screw and spring
