Default Cycle Shack slip-ons, do you like the sound??

I’ve got a set of these slip-ons but there is no baffle and it sounds like crap and has no bottom end. The O.D. of the baffle for these measures 2 3/4” and no one makes any baffles for these except Cycle shack. They say they don’t normally sell the baffle for this pipe as an extra but will this time to help me out. They want $80.00 for them.

What I’m asking you all is have you heard this pipe with baffle and did you like the sound? I don’t want to spend more money to find I don’t like the sound.

FYI, I got a set of the Big City Monster baffle for the head pipe but they aren’t cutting it.

What wrong with the BCT baffle? They sound good in the SE's. I just ordered a set of Cycle Shack turnouts for my 06 Bob (#MTO-129) and from all I have read they should sound perfect. Louder than SEII's but not quite as low/bassy. You are actually running these with completely NO baffle? Just a straight through?

Did you buy used ones? Cycle Shacks have steel baffles and are known for making excellent low end torque.

I wouldnt necessarily say there is anything wrong with the BCT. I think there should be a litte more low end. The stock pipes with big holes cut in the the baffles had way more low end. What I'm not likeing is two things, there pretty much way loud and also there is a bass sound that is like the kids with the real deep bass car stereos. You feel it more than hear it.

It's like the sound you get when you have the back windows down a little in the car.

I got the pipes on e-bay for $20.00 with no baffles (there in perfect shape). Cycle shack wants $80.00 for the baffles.

Does the O.D. of the muffles make a bigg diff on sound. Example, if you used the same type baffle in a straight drap pipe that you would use in a pipe that is 3" in diameter, would the sound be deeper in the larger pipe.
