Default High altitude carb adj?

I am located in an area at about 1000' of elevation. I will soon be riding just west of Denver at elevations upwards of 12000'. I have never messed with carb adj on my HD, but I've been told going to higher altitudes might require some carb adjustments. Anyone here familiar with this and how I could easily make this adjustment knowing I will soon (within a day or so) be back at the lower elevations?

Running a stock TC88 in my '03 WG with a 2-1 pipe and a stage 1 kit.

Thanks

I wouldn't worry about it. The CV carb does a pretty good job at altitude.
You will notice some loss of power and maybe some rough idle but it's only going
to be for a short time.

I have been from Sea Level to 12,000 feet with my cv carb and never any issues.

How about mpg's, do they suffer much at higher altitudes? I know climbing the grades can effect it, but how about the thinner air?

you will actually get better mpg at elevation all else being equal.

You'll notice a bigger difference going though IA and NE with the ethanol blends.

It will run a little richer at the lower density altitude, but that is better than leaner. There is just no air up there. LOL
