Exhaust Upgrade; V&H, Hooker? Performance
Hi, I have been on this forum for a while, but this is my first post. I am looking to install a new exhaust on my 91 Fatboy. I really like the look of the Vance & Hines Big Radius. The Hooker Troublemaker has basically the same look, as well as some Santee Venom exhaust system I saw on Ebay. I have read numerous threads here trying to get an answer but cant find one. I dont mind dropping the extra dough if it means gaining a few extra horsepower, but I am wondering if anyone has had (or heard any testimonial of) these 3 exhaust systems. I like loud, but I like power more. Any suggestions are welcome and would be greatly appreciated.

I really don't know much to help you answer your question, but I can attest to the quality of the V&H system. I have the V&H Pro Pipe and the quality is second to none...Much better than the Samson's I had before. Exc ellent sound and a qood performance increase with the 2-1 system.

Of the three you are looking at, The Hookers get my vote.
I Had the V&H and the Hookers, haven't tried the other.
Although very close in sound and Quality, the Hookers gave a bit more power. They also had a deeper, throaty sound than the V&H. As for quality, not much of a diference though i thought the Hooker's looked a bit better and the chrome seemed better but not by much. The V&H had a bit more of an arc, the Hookers sit lower on the bike which could be a problem on some bikes when making a sharp right turn.
The Hookers are also a bit less on the wallet
You like loud ? Take the baffels out of the Hookers and it will be pleanty loud, perhaps too loud They do sound great with the baffles in
