i have a 96 ultra classic and its been running flawless.. But the last few rides and its been middle 90 degree heat here the bike acts really weird. If I am sitting still and crack the throttle it doesnt do anything and when I release the clutch it will take gas and rev up it might fall on its face for just a second but will take off and run fine. When I turn it off and restart it then it takes a little longer to start and will idle but will idle at like 1400rpms and then I can try and give it throttle a few times and sometimes it comes back down??? it acting realy weird but still runs great going down the road?? Does anyone have any ideas? By the way its fuel injected, K&N A/C, screamin eagles and the rest is bone stock with 60,000 miles.....

It almost sounds like the computer isn't seeing the throttle position sensor. Maybe a bad connection somewhere?

 

Did you buy fuel from a different station? Might have an issue with the ethanol mix. Ethanol is a very effective solvent and it will attack varnish, gum, and resins: the sludge that can build up in fuel tanks. Once cleaned off the fuel tank walls this build up leads to poor performance and frequently clogged fuel filters and injectors. You might want to check out Star Tron. I haven;t used it by my buddy has had good luck with it.
