Default Camshaft change on 80" Evo - DIY???

Hi, I'm wanting to put a Crane 310-2LG cam in my Evo motor and change the inner bearing.

How hard is this mechanically to do myself? What special tools do I need?

Are there any detialed step by step instructions / resourxces out there for this?

Thanks.

Bearing puller, feeler guage(or dial indicator) torque wrench, SHCS wrenches, cam shim(s),assembly lube.
That swap is a piece of cake.
If you get caught in a snag, call, and we will walk you through it.
Happy to help.

Thanks Scott.
Do I need the Crane Cam installation tool? I plan on getting the Crane 310-2 cam (less gear) and using the original gear - or is it easier to get the cam with gear??

Also, would you recommend getting retractable/adjustable pushrods?

Its a brand new motor so it is sitting on the bench (not in the bike) so working on it will be a bit easier.

Thanks.

On second thought..... just buying the Jims bearing puller tool and bearing installation tools alone would cost me $230+.

Might be cheaper to just pay the shop to do it for me?

It may be less expensive, if you are not equipped.
