Default DYNA " hiccups "

My 2000 hiccups often whem I roll the throttle on . More often when doing it gentle then if I realy crank it. Mostly from low RPM acceleration, rarely if I'm right in it. My '79 SPORTY did it to some degree as does my '85 FXR. I absolutely hate this. Is there anything I can do ? I have talked to many HD owners who tell me there bikes do this to. I am thinking it is some kinda inherent flaw in desighn that doesn't let it flow right. Stock carb on the sporty , REV TECH on the FXR, and stock on the 2000 DYNA. Thanx people
pleeze feel free to contact me if you know what the hell will fix this

If you want to go faster then give it more throttle. I'm not trying to be a smartass, but, rather, there's just limits to what you can do. That differance is likely you're accelator pump, the rod running into a boot on the side of the carb. Pull the ac, twist the throttle and you'll see it spray fuel into the intake. You can enrichen the fuel across the board, but then the accelerator pump may make you bog down as it goes too rich. I'm not sure if there is an adjustment on the accelerator pump, but if there is you face the same problem. Anything that would "fix" it is going to impact the rideability, i.e. your ability to finely control the speed. So really, most likely, the best solution is if you want to go faster then give it more throttle.

Bump the pilot jet up one at a time, until it is gone.

Hillside is correct... also if you are near hillside you should bring it to him and let him tune the bike for ya.
