SE II Exhaust Gen I Gen II

I don't know the specific years for each model of SE exhausts.
There were the original SE, manufactured by, I think Cycle Shack, and very similar to those pipes. The original SE were followed by the SE II, which were available up until perhaps 2005 or 2006. (My 2005 came with a set of SE II's; I purchased it in late 06. By the time I purchased it, SE II's were no longer available). SE II was followed by the SE Street Performance model.
I think the general wisdom is that the original SE was the best in terms of sound/performance, followed by the SE II. You may as well stay stock, as switch to the Street Performance model. It simply represents the Company rolling over on it's belly and sticking it's butt in the air for the EPA, IMHO.

They sound much better after 10 or 20 thousand miles and a cam change. mine are so loud now, i don't want anything that's any louder!

SE Slip ons 2007 Ultra
I had put the SEs on my 2003 Road King. When I traded for a 2007, I kept the SEs and put them on my 07 Ultra (SE A/C and SERT). I still like the sound very much. Not super loud, but good rumble. Not sure if they are the original SEs or SE IIs. 32,000 miles on this bike and 19,000 on the Road King for 51,000 total on the slip ons.

Here is a post to say that the stock, SE Street Performance slip on's suck for sound. I think my cat farts louder than these things.
I picked up a set of the Cycle Shack baffles for the 4" SE SP slipons, and it sounds a whole lot better.
No just debating if I want to pull them back out and pull that fiberglass and wire mesh liner out of them or not... (it was part of the stock pipe, I just left it in there.)
