I just put a set of Vance and Hines Ovals P/N 16727 on my 99 ultra. I took off a set of samson rolled thunder ovals and I'm not satisfied with the loudness of these new mufflers. Is there anyone out there who knows how to increase the loudness of these? Has anyone taken out the baffles on these pipes and modified them? Thanks in advance for your help.

 

I bought a used set from my broinlaw.They were modified.The baffle which is supported at both ends was shortened,so there was no support at the end that goes into the muffler first.
They were louder but rattled.Because they were cut,the rear of the baffle cracked at the oval insert.
There might be another approach to this or buy some Thunder Headers.
