I hope I can draw on some of you guys experience on this I want to change to some slipons but I do not want loud just a nice mellow tone and still be able to listen to some tunes! Which do you thinks would fill the bill? And what do you run?

 

If that is what you have in your mind, then I would say the Rush units.

I just replaced the stock mufflers on my '07 1200 sporty with Rush slip-ons yesterday. I went with the 1.75'' baffles. I spent a few hours riding today.

Verdict still out. The sound isn't bad. They are quite loud. Maybe too loud for me. I have a headache and my ears feel tired. I never got that riding on the stock mufflers. I also noticed popping on deceleration; never heard that before.

Wish I had gone with the 1.5'' baffles. I'll give the Rush a couple of weeks. If I'm not used to them by then, I might change the baffles, try the SE slipons, or go back to stock.

I like a nice Harley sound as well as the next person, but comfort, hearing, neighbors are important too.

 

I don't know anything about the Rheinharts - other than they're made by BUB (I think) - but I have the Rush 2.0 Black Slip-ons and I like them.
