New Engine Build
Well onto my next project or should I say money drop. Well talked to my local indie today and decided to go ahead and start the process of my engine build. Going with an axtell 107 kit. Im pretty stoked and hope to have the whole process of part and install done asap. Question is what are my options on cams, andrews tw-54 was recommended. Anyother options out there.
Going to keep my v h true duals so I know that I will be leaving alittle out there but just cant give those up. Also going to be staying with my PCIII.
So let me what you guys think. I will keep you updated on the progress.
Lynn,
Yes Im getting ready for my own little stuntin show!

Wiesco manufactures pistons to allow the boring of the OE cylinder to 3.935" that brings 88-98", and 96-107".
Assuming that the build is for the 2008 Touring bike in your signature, then I would suggest a Wood TW-7H. Has been the industrys top torque cam since the initial introduction of it in the mid-nineties.

LMAO---a couple little things before you start your personal stunt show -- make sure you practice in a parking lot or like me on my cul de sac -- with that motor you will have know exactly (99% of the time) what the bike is going to do---my SG had a tendency to slide to the right then straighten up -- on the RG it has a tendency to go up in the air -- when I want to spin the rear tire I have to remember to hold the clutch just a little more and ease forward in the seat.
Good luck on the build -- I'm sure it's going to be a monster --

The New Engine build
Hey guys,
Is there a way he can get better numbers? I surpassed the 96-107 mark by just a little and I only have a 103...see the build and dyno sheet noted below. Will his V&H TD's cause him to loose that extra 1 hp and 5tq difference?
The Build:
2008 Ultra Classic fully loaded.
103 Ci
10:5:1 CP pistons
Superstock Heads
Woods Tw-5-6
Power Commander III
Crane Push Rods
Pro Series Rocker Arms
Mo-Flow Air system
Boned and polished 50mm throttle body
HD Oil Cooler
2-1 Thunder Headers.
Diamond cut Heads and Cyl.
Stock lower end.
=97.77 hp 112.70tq
I'm by no means a pro however, I would think for the extra $$ the 107 can make higher numbers. Forgive me if I'm mistaken.
