Easy Off Oven Cleaner?
I burnt my chaps on my pipes and am having a hell of a time geting them clean.
Someone mentioned Easy Off oven cleaner but when i went to get mine it said do not use on chrome.
Is there a specific type of Easy Off one should use?
Any other usefull tips would really help. I have tried the SOS Pad and Windex, Some toothpast container that the dealer sold me and a razor blade.

I don't know anything about Easy Off, but Goof Off and a little elbow grease works pretty well. Unless a sheet of plastic blows across the highway, wraps around your foot peg and melts all over your pipes, that is. Then, it's time for new pipes. Don't ask me how I know that...

With the pipes warm (not really hot) scrape off whatever you can with something a lot softer than chrome. A plastic Ice scraper works well.
Apply a little Easy Off (I like the foaming kind), and let sit for just a few mintes. Then rub off with a coarse rag. Do that a couple of times until you get the majority of it off. For anything that's really stuck, use some really fine steel wool.
When it's all cleaned off, use soap and water to really clean off any residual oven cleaner. Then polish with whatever non-abrasive chrome polish you like best.

6 years ago I rode my 83 FXWG from Boston to DC with a group of about 25 bikes for the Run To The Wall. We were in Virginia, on our way down, when this sheet of clear plastic blew across the road. I couldn't avoid it because of the traffic. It caught on my passenger side foot peg, and I couldn't kick it off. You know the rest. I suppose melting on the pipes is better than getting wrapped up in the rear wheel, though. Anyway, I tried everything I could think of to clean off the pipes. (Dyno-Power turnouts) Nothing worked. I ended up scratching the hell out of them and still couldn't get all the gunk off.
Here's a pic of my '83 Wideglide. I just traded her in for an '04 Road King Classic. I haven't got any decent pics of it yet though.
