SE Synthetic Media Air Filter (How to Clean)...
My new 09 has the Screamin' Eagle air filter "synthetic media" which supposedly needs no oiling for cleaning. My 01 had the K&N filter which I had to clean and re-oil, so I am clueless about this new air filter.
How do I clean it and how often? Do I just rinse it out, let it dry, and put back in after 5000 miles--can't find any info on this through search.
Thanks,
Karl

SE Synthetic Filter--clean at 10k?
Thanks for the reply. Based on the synthetic media not being "as durable" as you stated, does it flow as well as the K&N filter that I'm used to--the one that I have to oil in my other bike?
I'm stumped as I can't find info regarding this synthetic filter online.
