Fuel Mgmt or Not?

Fuel Mgmt or Not?
I'm getting ready to install a set of V&H's Basic Slip On's on my 09 RKC and was wondering if anyone else has these on their 09? I'm wanting a feel for whether or not a fuel management system was needed and if so, what did you use or recommend? I'm running the stock air filter / system, so it's just the slip on's, at this point.
IN the past, I've use a Power Commander III with a set of Rinehart True Duals and a SE Air kit on a 07 SG and was very happy with the results of the mapping, but I just wanted to start out with slip on's this time around and have heard yes and no to fuel mgmt., with slip on's. I heard from a dealer parts guy the other day that the PCIII's aren't doing as well with the 08 and 09's. Anyone heard anything like that?
I was told that most people are using the SE Race Tuner on the new bikes.
What do you guys think?
Thanks in advance, btw!!!

if you are just doing slip ons -- most times a fuel mgmt system is not needed; however if you plan on doing future motor upgrades it will be needed.
I have the SERT -- I have used power commanders in the past, I think the SERT is more programmable -- you have to get someone who knows what they are doing.

Search this question and you'll get literally hundreds of opinions.
If you want a noticeable improvement in performance and engine longevity, I'd strongly recommend it. But not to say you won't be completely happy without the investment, if your air cleaner isn't changed, your bike will run no different with just a muffler change, but not up to it's potential.

Thanks all....it looks like I'll be ok with just the slip on's for now, but I'll porbably just get a tuner of some type and an air kit and get it over with. I just need to research the tuners a little more. I was real happy with my PCIII on my 07, but I heard that Harley was seeing problems with the PC's for their 09's. Anyone else heard this or is someone trying to get me to buy their product? I really hate it when that happens.
Thanks again,
Thanks again,
