Thumbs up to Dalton's post. If you need a degree key, you have the wrong cam for your compression.

I am leaning towards the HQ 0034 for my stock 88, but would like to do a 95" build with headwork down the road. Will the HQ 0034 allow me to go bigger without switching cams? (within reason of course, I'm not talking 120 ci or anything, just a 95 or 98")

FYI, will also add a Fat Cat 2into1 and a maybe replace my PCIII with a TTS at the same time.

Bolt on a Wood 6-6; you'll smile so much you won't be able to stand it.

I had my bike dynoed tuned, it is a 95' wfolarry stage1 heads, BUB7's tru duals, KB flatop slugs, HQ 0034 cams, it did 84 hp and 94tq, I'll get my sheet posted as soon as possible, left a little on the table in hp & tq, need to change fuel injectors and get it tuned for the groovy heads but I am happy, tq goes up hard right off the bat.

Sounds nice - lots of numbers - except for the most important one - at least for some of us How much did it cost for that build? Cost breakdowns are also helpful for people who have to pay for labor and to ensure that no incidentals are forgotten - like dyno tunes, adj push rods, fuel management, oil and filter change, head work, gaskets, Timken Bearings...

I will go first - My total cost for 21's was ~$200.

Cams, New - eBay $85
Gaskets, o'rings - $40
Timken Bearings - $20
Oil & filter - $40
Tank hose w/clamps - $15

(note, reused stock push rods to save money)

Labor - my time installing and lots of research. I did spend about $50 in tools which are needed for owning a Harley anyway.

Stage 1 was already installed by previous owner, otherwise add for pipes, AC and $150 for download.

Definitely will not produce 95 lbs tq. Although it does provide a nice bang for the buck and is much improved over stock. And most importantly, it puts the tq "where I like it" - low to mid

107ft/lbs of tq at 2500 rpms. Will jump off the line with the 255's. On cruising the blacktop last weekend down and up from Austin (ROT) 80mph with plenty of passing power when needed.

Cam keys have been used in the automotive performance industry for years.
Just another tool in the arsenal, to taylor the combo for the client, as it can pull peak power in sooner, and bring more in, on the way up to it.

Yes, especially if you buy HQ's heads.

I was wanting more torque at the lower end not the upper, so I called around to the different HD shops and asked a few questions. I have an 08 Ultra and is beast at best but was lacking in the lower end torque so that is where I started. Forman HD told me to go with the SE255 cams and they would load the Stage II ecm map and that should take care of the torque issue. I have to admit for just a tad over 900 it did the trick and I am enjoying the change..............
