in a stock motor, an Andrews 21 will kill any SE cam on the LOW end.... idle to 3000 rpm.

the intake closes way too late on either of those cams to make really strong low end torque, again, in a STOCK motor.

if you are partial to screamin chicken stuff... a 203 would be a better choice for low end power.

SE255, SE203/SE204, SE211 in that order for low end to high end. I doubt the Andrews 21 properly tuned would "kill" a properly tuned SE255 in a light to light race all things being equal (same bike, CID, exhaust, etc.).

The SE stuff doesn't compare to what available on the aftermarket. As mentioned, ANdrews 21's, 26's HQ 0034, Wood TW6-6 with +4 gear all will work great. Some better that others. I had 204's and they aren't bad. I actually likes them better than 203's in my FLHT. IMO Woods is the way to go. Just costs more money. You can grow into the Wood setup in the future with bigger/ hotter setups and still use the Wood 6's.

If your looking for useable low end grunt then you don't want the 211's. The 211's are for people who like to ride in the 3,000 rpm and up zone. If I had to pick a SE cam for a bagger being ridden 2 up I would go with the 255's or the 204's.

So with your set up do you feel the tq right from the get go and if so when does it stop really pulling? what rpm range?

I have put about 1000 miles on the hq 0034's since I redid my 95" with WFOLarrys heads, KB flatops and BUB7's and I really am very very pleased, bike runs awesome, pull great and has low end and top end to, can't go wrong with this cam.

here in Indy our dealer is using a lot of 204 of course, but also intalls them with the 4* advance, to move the curve to the left more. My son has put that set up in his 07 & 09 bikes and has been 100% happy with it..

My sheet on my 07 stg 1 / 26h's / Rush 2". You can see that the cams put out more tq across the board from 2000-5200 rpm's than the maximum stock TQ
the second thumbnail is the comparison of stock to above sheets.
I had to draw the one in because they were done at different shops

Yes. You can PM PhilM and Buttman from HDF. We rode a good bit together when they travelled through Georgia.

For those of you who really want to know the difference in cams, you need to do some reading and not in this forum. There is a lot of mis-information. Yes, I am posting in the forum, but again, read-

the above quote says to use the 204 withthe 4+degree key, and there are other references to the Woods 6, using the 4+degree key in a stock engine. If you are not going to do a big modification in the future, go with the 203 as the 204 is really designed to work with a compression increase to about 10.0:1, same withthe Woods 6 and the Andrews 26, all like and perform better with a bump in the compression. The Andrews 21 is very nice in a stock engine as is the HeadQuarters 0034/HQ 500 for newer bikes.(my choice if installing a cam in a stock engine). 211's move the torque higher in the rpm range, as does most other cams.

For a stock engine, with no other mods, HQ 0034, Andrews 21 or HD203 will produce the best results without having to monkey with a degree key or other modifications.
