so i have an 88 flhtc that my dad had let sit for 3 years then pass it to me after he passed and i let it sit for 2 years. ive been getting to it here and there.
today i took off the air cleaner and got the new batter charged up and put it in. i added about a liter of gas and went to crank it to see what would happen " hoping for a start"
no start.
did crank though.
i still need to get a new oil filter.
i added about two quarts of 20w 50 to it and turn it with out the gas on so the engine would get some new oil in it.
most of the remaining oil came out the blowby about a quart. then i attempted to start it with the fuel on.
nuttn!

so i took the plugs out and brushed them with a wire brush and drained the gas after taking the petcock (sp) out and the gas filter is nasty. so im gunna clean that.
next im gunna put some mystery oil in the plugs about a teaspoon full each and drain everything again.
anything else i should do before trying to start it again?
