Default Exhaust Gaskets for Rineharts

Does anybody use standard Harley conical exhaust gaskets on Rinehart headers ? The local dealer uses these gaskets on all exhaust installs. Bub/Rinehart recommends using only James exhaust gaskets (same as SE crush gaskets).

I'd like to try the HD conical ones to trouble shoot a little decel popping on my '07 UC
.

I've used the SE and the stock gaskets, no problems with either.

use the James the fitment is much better, with the stock conical there is too much gasket that just gets crushed and reduces exhaust port opening you will see this if you take them apart and you will see you exhaust valve a nice hot tan color!!!!!! Ask me how I know had a valve start to stick shut her down and that is what i found. also with the true duals tring to get the P clamp at the transmission are on the right side you can tell that the header is not going all the way into the exhaust port enough to lining up the bolt requires muscle and inovation.
