If there is a thread asking this please point me in that direction. I hate to start new threads unnecessarily.

What I am asking is will an 08 stage one kit off street gulide work on my 09 road king classic. I have found a deal on one but I dont want to buy it without knowing it will work. Of course the Hd dealer says no so I'll buy a new one from them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

 

According to the HD site it's the same part number for the se ac, 29260-08. The SE catelog lists differant exhausts for '07-'08 and '09 touring. The blurb for the touring bikes also says new 2-1-2 exhaust system on '09's. So my guess would be the exhaust won't fit.

 

Thanks for your help. I didnt think about looking up the part #'s. Do you think the air cleaner changes will work. Thats what i was going to buy from the guy. I plan to put Rinehart exhust on. What do you think? Thanks again.

 

It shows the same part number for the se ac for both models. I see no reason it wouldn't work. I don't see any reason you would be disappointed in the Rineharts from a performance perspective.

PS: I don't see any reason you would be disappointed in them from any other perspective, but the other perspectives are subjective, i.e. sound and looks.
