Red face Arlen Ness Big Sucker stage 2

Hello all!

Completely new to posting on the forum although I've been reading many of your posts up til now.

So, I have a question, that I, after trawling the net for days can not find a good answer to. Does anyone know if the backing plate on the Ness Big Sucker stage 2 kit is the same as being used on the B.S. stage 1 kit??

I think I've made a complete boob out of myself and got the stage 2 kit on ebay. Given that it takes up more space than the stage 1 kit, seems to be slim or NO choice in andything more than 2 or 3 different covers for it and lastly I won't be upgrading more than the AC, exhaust and a TFI on my bike I should have gone for the B.S. stage 1. So my thought was that if the backplate is the same I can get a stage 1 replacement filter and voila there is an abundance in choice of covers as well

Any help if known will be appreciated

From what I have seen and read..........yes, the backing plates are the same. But, the stand-offs might be different since I think the filters are different heights.

Why not sell the kit you have now and then buy a stage 1 kit online.

Yeah, it's gonna be one or the other. Either sell the whole kit or just try to sell and swap the filters. Wish I wasn't so quick to buy, hehe..
