Default Sagging engine power on '88 FLHS

I have noticed that after about 15 minutes into a ride that some times the engine power starts to sag, almost as if I threw out the anchor. In order to maintain speed and rpm, I have to roll into the throttle more and then after about a minute then it starts to come back and everything comes back to normal. I don't hear anything that sounds different with the engine, it just starts to slow down. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks
