Default TC 103 Air intake

I have a HD 2009 Tri-Glide with a 103 motor. I want to install a K&N replace air filter on it. Question: will this application cause the bike to run any leaner?

Switching from the paper element to a K&N type element will not effect your air/fuel ratio, enough to make any noticeable difference.
If you presently have a stock air intake and switch to a stage 1 version, that has the different backplate, which allows more air flow, that will effect your air/fuel ratio and the bike will run leaner, regardless of it having a paper or K&N type element.

I've got a brand new K&N replacement element for sale still in the box. I bought it for my bike, but never used it. PM me if interested. I could ship asap with paypal payment. Thanks. K&N # HD-1499

Like someone else mentioned, if you do the Stage 1 AC your going to be lean. If you use just the K&E stock replacement AC you should be fine. If you do choose the Stage 1 AC your going to have to decide on what your going to use for a fuel adder. My dad was looking at the Stage 1 AC for his 09 Triglide and the dealer said there are no downloads available for the Stage 1 on the Triglide. He said my dad could use the SE Supertuner if he wanted to. Decided to pass on it for now. If we go to a tuner oh his bike it will be the TTS Master tune vs the SE Superbummer.

The K&N part number for the 103 Tri-Glide is HD 1508, but thanks just the same.
