Here goes. Hope this is understandable without pics.
Place the carb on a flat surface on the engine manifold side. Tip the carb 15 to 20 Degrees away from the base.
Use a depth gauge to measure from the carb O ring flange face to the perimeter of the carb. In the book, it looks like what they are calling the perimeter is the bottom of the float. The measurement should be .413 to .453 inch.
This info is for a 1997 Lowrider, but I'm guessing that all the CV's use the same measurement.
