FYI, since you are a Chevy tech. Your Twin Cam uses small block Chevy lifters. I run Cranes with the Chevy part number.....10530.

Here are a couple of pics of my tensioners at 33k. I also am replacing my lifters at this time. At 39k I would for sure be replacing your tensioners and probably should do your lifters, might as well do a cam bearing change also.

yeah when i get down to business the bearings be are going to be a no brainer. really though; small block chevy lifters? i had no idea. would they be standard chevy flat tappet hydraulic lifters? if so i have 2 new sets of comp lifters in my shop. that would mean 32 sets of lifters for the hog

ok so looks like that part number is actually a roller lifter. i did not know they used roller lifters. been reading something about vvalving for the chevy isnt the same as for the harley. some say the chevy lifter is superior others say it doesnt meet the oil needs of the harley. what are some thoughts on this

I made a call to Crane and learned that their HD lifter and Chevy lifter are the exact same part with different part numbers. The difference is in the price. The HD lifters are usually quite a bit more than the Chevy numbered ones.

I have been running my Chevy numbered Cranes for 21k miles with no complaints.
