Dawg knows what he is talking about. I got all the parts including easy adjust pushrods for about $400 from Zanotti. I pulled the cam cover(the only way to check) last week and found a lot less wear than I expected. My bike has 35K miles. I have read about tensioners going bad at 10K and not until 60K so it really depends. Open it up and have a peek. It's pretty simple to do. Dawg can talk you through it. He has been very helpful to me.

wow i must say you guys are top of it and seem very dedicated to helping out fellow members. i am new to harleys and greatly appreciate the help. i was actually on georges site the other day looking at the cam tensioner tools. hopefully i can get into the cover this weekend and check it out. also as i asked above what all is associated in pulling pushrods besides removing the tank? are there any extra adjustments such as rocker arms or anything. sorry for my non understanding of this, i just hate adjusting valves on my 350
