Default Bike Sputtering

I have a 1976 Harley FLH. I had an S&S carb put on about eight years ago. I had the bike tuned up last year. When it came back, it was, it started sputtering when I drove it (like gas was being cut off for a brief moment). The mechanic did not know what was wrong with it. It sputters when accelerating and even at full speed. It is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!! What do you suggest??? Thanks

Wow, that bould be almost anything related to spark or fuel.

If the plugs look white, then I would guess its fuel. If they look dark or wet, then I would guess spark. That would be in comparison to what they looked like before the problem started.

I assume the mech tried different plugs, plug wires, check the wiring to the coil, etc.

If this is a points system, they could be bad or the condensor could do it also, but then again you would think the mech would have checked that too.
