What head gasket/piston combo for 10.-1
Got my andrews 37g's, SE billit support plate/ high vol pump and have decided to do the 95" BB. My question is what head gasket thickness and piston combo will keep me at 10-1 comp. I need part numbers for a good piston if you got em. I'll have to leave the heads for another year though. I'd like a little more comp than stock 9.2, to let the 37s work, but keep a nice easy starting, cool running reliable motor.

well, there are 2 ways to do this with what I have to propose.
1) C/P piston part # M5017, which is a off the shelf 9.5 piston with a 85 cc head, close stock. and a MLS .030 James gasket.
then next year when you do your heads, have them milled to 82 ccs, then your at 10.2 to one static. Add some compresion releases and your golden.
or
2) C/P piston part # 5061 which is an off the shelf 10.0 with a 85 cc head, but you will need to take a minimal amout off the heads to keep the compresion at 10.1 and any future milling you will be over 10.5 to one.
Keep in mind that your stock heads will be slightly larger than 85 ccs so correct compresion will be lower than whats on paper until some head work is done.
