A buddy of mine is thinking of getting one of these motors ,was wondering what hp and tq they are putting out and if they are a good reliable well mannered motor ,he will be putting it in a 1989 bagger and plans to put some miles on it so he wants to have a well mannered motor that is fairly decent on fuel mileage ,would appreciate any feedback from riders that are familiar with this motor ...thanks

 

I've used a few of them on custom builds - a few minor issues but they seem to hold up well. Kinda pricey though. I'd look real hard at the Ultima motors - the 113 puts out 120/120 and Jireh Cycles(877-681-0448) sells them for under 5 grand. A friend has the 120ci in his RK and it's a real tractable motor and pulls like a bear. 30,000+ on it and no issues.

To me, it's a better value on a US made motor.
