Default Silver Jugs

Came across a good deal on some brand new silver jugs to convert from an 88 to a 95 (Big Bore). Only Problem is that they are silver and my stocks are black. With this in mind, can I get away with painting them black? If so what type of paint would you recommend along with procedures?

Thank you in advance for your feedback.

I'm intentionally putting silver heads on my black motor. I'm thinking it will look pretty sharp.

We can supply color-matching powder-coating thru us.
Really sharp look.

Why not just hold out for a set in black or have your jugs bored? Hillside or most other shops offer that service. I prefer to have cylinders bored and honed to the pistons for better tolerances.

E-bay is a good source for used stock cylinders. a set of black 88 inchs can be had for very little money. I have seen them in the 40 dollar range.

I believe that harley makes black engine paint to match. Check with your dealer.

I agree or just pay core charge. I did and didn't have to wait for parts once I started. Nice bonus is now of I've got great packaging to send mine back in.
