I have the slash up version the SE one piece performance muffler. They are middle of the road as far as sound volume. They are fun under a bridge or on a parking ramp. Roll on the throttle and the cars start honking as their alarms are sounding. LOL. I'm moving to VH true duals this week and I'll see if they get any louder. I think these are a good choice for the 'Harley' sound. At least my version.

 

Good thread! I have wondered the same things many times as I look for the exhaust system that I want to change to.

 

Seems like alot of confusion regarding the Screamin Eagles for touring bikes. I have a '04 Road King Classic and currently have the Vance and Hines Basics on it. Really makes the bike sound like a Harley but at times I wonder if they are too loud. I've been thinking about switching to the Screamin Eagle 1 piece pro performance mufflers. Part #64903-99 Can anyone give me any idea on the sound of the SE's compared to the V&H Basics I have? Thanks.
