Default Question about D&D Fatcat

I am going to be buying this exhaust over the winter and I have one question about it. Which baffle? From what I have been reading the quiet baffle is better for 103" builds and lower and the performance baffle or Big Bore baffle "One in the same?" is for the bigger inch motors. Thanks for any opinons you guys have.

Motor is 113" Ultima with 640 lift cam.

Thanks

Well, I have the standard baffle on my stock 96" and love it. Definitely picked up a good amount of torque over the Cobra Speedsters. I have the q baffle too, but haven't tried it yet. They say on the smaller builds the q baffle will give a little more torque, but I like the sound of the standard.

I'd say for the 113" get the BB baffle. Not sure if the perf baffle is the same or not. Or do you need the Boarzilla? It's made for big motors. The primaries are larger than the stadard fatcat.

Fatcat witht he performance baffle is fine. You do not need the Boarzilla for the 113, in fact there are guys running the Fatcat/perf baffle on 120's without issues.

I am however running the Boarzilla with the quiet baffle on mine.

Does that mean that it makes more power on the upper end or provides more through the power ban? Does the quiet baffle choke it off?

Thanks guys. I appreciate it.

I called up D&D and asked their tech which baffle would work best with my 103". He said the standard with quiet baffle. He should be able to tell you the recommended bore for your 113" engine. They also have a quiet big bore/performance baffle.

I would say go with the Fatcat with the big bore performance baffle.

Don't do the Boarzilla, it's too big and will kill your low-end power completely.

I am having the same problem as well, I will be doing the 95" upgrade with increased compresion and wondering which baffle to get.

I want the most sound and performance, so not sure if i should go with the quiet, standard, or performance.

What are the thoughts for the 95"

Thanks,

Mike.

I just put a fat cat with the standard baffle on my 103" softail. My heads are Baisley, and came from Dave at JD's Cycleworks. I talked to him about my build, and he suggested the standard over the quiet baffle. Speak with the person who is doing/did your build and see what they suggest. If they don't have the knowledge, call D&D's tech department, and explain to them what you have, and what you're looking for. No one knows their product better than them.
