Default CP Pistons for TC 96

Found this on ebay, are they any good if I plan to go for a TC 96 build (head work + Andrews 54 cams)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=330292940882

CP Pistons 10:1 CR part No.M5086

What kind of power should I expect from such a build??

CP Makes a good piston, but the price itself isnt. $313.95 is basically $13.95 over retail. Plus these are slight overesize ( .010 over) so you would need to tell whomever is boring out your jugs to go .010 over stock. If your looking for a good deal, then keep looking.

PS: Why would you waste your time though sticking with a 96" build when you may as well spend a few more bucks and go to a 103"?

I would suspect 100 square is within easy reach, at 96".
BTW, CP also manufactures pistons that allow the you to bore your cylinders to 3.935".
This results in a engine swept volume of 107".
That'll put a bigger smile on your face.

That seller has 3 different compression ratio 103 pistons listed + the oversizes. I almost agree with Hillside about the 107 except I would be a little Leary about running it with such a thin cylinder wall on one of your 130* days.

Living in FL. we can ride in the winter months but when summer hits it gets pretty toasty, I will keep my cyl. walls thick, my build will be the crank, heads and cams. And I do already have a dry NOS system in the box.

We stopped building 95" and 103", almost 2 years ago, now.
All have been 98" and 107".(3.935" with either J&E or CP)
Not a lick of problems.

I don't believe CP has any Harley pistons that retail for only $300 a pair.

I can get my hands on any Harley CP piston set(with clips, rings, wristpins)for $269 through a Harley dealer of all places. The $269 is with a standard 10% discount.

Interesting. Their pistons retail for over $200 each. I forwarded a link to this thread to Snake at CP pistons.
