Default Availability of jugs for 64 Ironhead motor?

I have a chance to pick up a 64 sporty basket case which includes everything but the jugs for the motor. This would be my first bike build so I am just learning about stuff as I go. What I am wondering is will I be able to find the jugs for this motor or can I use something else? Will it be cost-prohibitive? Sorry for the newb questions and thanks for your time.

You won't be able to buy new ones, but they made lots of iron heads and you should be able to locate a set of used ones. I would suggest posting on this forum and any other Sportster related sites, you'd be surprised how helpful ironhead people are.

I haven't checked in a long time but there were a few companies manufacturing cylinders for ironheads. I used to run Axtell and would suggest contacting them, also V-Twinn Cycle, and S&S.

Good luck
